Using a Cricut to apply DTF Transfers
Step 1: Position Transfer
Align the transfer/graphic in the desired location. If working on a surface that is not completely flat, use heat-resistant tape to secure the design in place. When using an iron, use heat-resistant tape to secure the design.
Step 2: Press
Place parchment paper or a protective sheet on your garment to protect it from the direct heat from the Cricut. Press the transfer at 285 degrees Fahrenheit for 17 seconds with hard pressure. Too much heat can damage the garment.
Step 3: Cool, then Peel
Wait until the transfer is cool to the touch (minimum 30 seconds), then gently peel the transfer back from one corner. (If it is not adhering, stop and repress for 5-10 seconds.)
Step 4: Repress
Cover with parchment paper and repress for 5 seconds for a matte finish.
Step 5: Care instructions
Wash inside out with cold water and mild detergent on a gentle cycle. Dry on the lowest heat setting or hang dry. Avoid liquid fabric softener. Do not dry clean or iron. Do not use bleach or products containing bleach.
